1. Finally watched "Up." Absolutely brilliant and reminded me why I have both children and a Blu-Ray player/HD TV. Sublime

  2. Animated features surprisingly end up being my favorites to watch on Blu-Ray.

The first one was fine because it was very much like the show, kind of shallow but still fun to watch, but this one...it takes them into married life, and for the entire 2 1/2 hours it was literally watching these women who were once in their early 30s when it's ok to be somewhat shallow discuss marriage as now-boring 40 year olds. It was almost like the start of a new series rather than the completion or the continuation of the old one.

I honestly didn't expect much from it.

  4. Same here. Just watched Wall-e on blu-ray and I got shocked with the image's quality!

  5. The hurt Locker. I celebrated Memorial day the way I always do. By watching a bunch of war movies.
  6. I will watch the original '82 "Tron" tonight...anyone interested in the re-....whatever? remake? reimagining? sequel?

  7. Brilliant movie.

Watched Rush Hour yesterday. Was with a bunch of friends and it was on tv. Quite good actually.
  8. Watched "Tron" the other night as promised; 3.5/5

Invictus, last night. I felt that the movie was great- inspirational, very well acted, accurate to my knowledge, and entertaining, but there wasn't really any climactic delivery. I understand that sometimes, in historical accuracy being maintained, there isn't a lot of room for build that could ruin integrity, but as my friend said last night, "Everything sort of just...happened." Finding out why the movie was called "Invictus" and the "story" behind that was moving, though.

    4.5/5

Gotta love Clint Eastwood. Whether in front of the camera, behind it or both. I love 90% of the films that man was involved with. Kelly's Heroes, Dirty Harry, Heartbreak Ridge, Mystic River, Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby, and Flags Of Our fathers are all among my favirote films.
  10. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

I seriously wonder how Lucas managed to succeed with this.
  11. Watched the Zoo TV DVD this afternoon (and I have to say, I'm not a very big fan of the Zooropa part with Mr. MacPhisto- he just looks too weird for me to fully stomach it...but the first half is good). Other than that, it'd be the 4th, 5th, and 6th (the 70s/80s) episodes of Star Wars...and I have to heartily disagree with the poster above me...I think they're quite fantastic.

Oh no, I love episodes V and VI, it's just that I'm surprised that Lucas was allowed to continue and had a huge success as I find Episode IV somewhat cheesy.
