    Invictus, last night. I felt that the movie was great- inspirational, very well acted, accurate to my knowledge, and entertaining, but there wasn't really any climactic delivery. I understand that sometimes, in historical accuracy being maintained, there isn't a lot of room for build that could ruin integrity, but as my friend said last night, "Everything sort of just...happened." Finding out why the movie was called "Invictus" and the "story" behind that was moving, though.

    Gotta love Clint Eastwood. Whether in front of the camera, behind it or both. I love 90% of the films that man was involved with. Kelly's Heroes, Dirty Harry, Heartbreak Ridge, Mystic River, Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby, and Flags Of Our fathers are all among my favirote films.

    I seriously wonder how Lucas managed to succeed with this.

Watched the Zoo TV DVD this afternoon (and I have to say, I'm not a very big fan of the Zooropa part with Mr. MacPhisto- he just looks too weird for me to fully stomach it...but the first half is good). Other than that, it'd be the 4th, 5th, and 6th (the 70s/80s) episodes of Star Wars...and I have to heartily disagree with the poster above me...I think they're quite fantastic.

    Oh no, I love episodes V and VI, it's just that I'm surprised that Lucas was allowed to continue and had a huge success as I find Episode IV somewhat cheesy.

  6. A couple of weeks ago I saw Dracula 2000, it was god-awful.
  7. Robin Hood in the cinema. Enjoyed it, some good humor too.
  8. The Damned United- I know nothing about the ins and outs English football, but I loved it. Good way to start off the week of the World Cup opening.
  9. Enjoyed Robin Hood. Almost like an English Braveheart where again the English turned out to be the bastards. Love it

  11. Will be watching "Boogie Nights" tonight after my hometown Blackhawks in the NHL Stanley Cup finals!!!
