1. Just returned after The Social Network. As my friends put it...

"By no means the 'Citizen Kane' of the 21st century...but that was a very good film."

Jesse Eisenberg acts PERFECTLY in this- I truly feel that even though he's in no way in the upper echelon of actors in even the last 10 years, his style of even just speaking suit the character of Zuckerberg the way (director) Fincher wanted him portrayed.
  2. Haven't seen it yet, but I scored some review tickets today for 'Buried'. Has anyone seen it yet? Is it going to give my +1 nightmares?
  3. Watching Firefly on DVD. Pretty entertaining!
  4. I'm ashamed to say that the last movie I watched was... Gran Torino. Certainly a bit late for it. But what a great movie, just amazing.

  5. Moonraker is a cracker.

Can't actually recall the last film I watched Been a while.
  6. The Princess Bride.

Unfortunantly, it was on a channel that plays way to many commercials.
  7. Keith by Todd Kessler. Quite good film, leaves you with something to think about.
  8. Went to Jackass 3D opening night, hardest I've laughed in ages. I don't give a damn what the naysayers knock that show for, it represents a significant part of my pop culture youth, and I'll ALWAYS love seeing Knoxville and the gang at it. This will surely be the last of it, though...and I had a fantastic evening.

Also, in October, due to Halloween, I try to watch as many scary movies as I possibly can (on the IMDb horror boards, they challenge you to watch 31 throughout the month, making at least half first-time viewings...I won't get there, but I hope to get close). Here's where I'm at so far (these are just within the past week, I've started):

    1. Carrie (1976)
    2. Suspiria (1977)
    3. Friday the 13th (1980)
    4. Friday the 13th (2009)
    5. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1995)

(Don't worry- I save the best/classics for last!)
  9. A Serbian Film. Walked out.

  10. Well then that doesn't quite satisfy the "sitting" part of the thread title

Just giving you the business- can't say I've ever walked out of a theater for a movie being so bad. What was so terrible about it?

  11. I hate the idea of walking out of a film, but this was just inexcusable filth. When the rape of a newborn baby (God help me) is presented as entertainment, be it for allegorical reasons, or whatever, my tolerance goes. I've read since that it gets no better. I urge you (and everyone else) to stay away from it. Up to you, though, of course.
  12. Fair enough, jonner. Read up a little on the movie and can't blame you at all.

    Last viewed: The Mist
    Currently watching: Fright Night

The Mist was brilliant, entertaining, frightening...everything a horror movie should be. With a GREAT ending.

Fright Night is loads of fun!
