  1. Finally got around to watching "This Is It," the Michael Jackson rehearsals movie. Say what you will about the man's oddities and personal life....but he was incredibly talented and was very professional about what he wanted from his dancers/musicians/techs....and was always dead on. Great movie.
  2. Harry Potter and the deathly hallows, part 1! finally good movie, i'm surprised to see the next/last (:N) one
  3. Glengarry Glen Ross for the first time. Amazing acting by everyone in the film- outstanding movie. Can't wait to watch it again with some friends. A fantastic- though very vulgar- film.

    Really? Just watched it for the first time a couple weeks ago and thought it was terribly overrated. First 5 minutes with Alec Baldwin are great, but other than that....
  9. Just saw 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time in years. Truly awful film.


  10. To each his own. If you have the patience/capacity to understand Kubrick and assess elements of a film and the filmmaking process, symbolism, etc, and not just storyline- it's actually nothing short of brilliant

    Also, you having seen it for the "first time in years" at the age of 15 doesn't really have your brain in a fully developed stage at the first time you viewed it, so give it a few years and come back to it. A course in film study will improve the experience greatly; I say this from experience of my own.

    Just finished watching Anchorman with a group of friends- never gets old!

    I've already done film study at school, but can't do it anymore because it got cancelled

    And No, I don't think my opinon of this film will change. As you can probably already tell, I think 2001: A Space Odyssey is one of the most overrated films of all time. (Although the only person in the house who liked it was my father. This is because he read the books and saw 2010: The Year We Make Contact) Each scene was overlong and uninteresting(talk about patience!)

    I have to say it was directed well, looked stunning and was very innovative, but you need a good story to go with those visuals.
