1. Paul.

I saw this at a review showing on Wednesday night and laughed my arse off. More pop-culture shout-outs than a week at Comic-Con (if SDCC went for a week). Highly recommended.
  2. killing bono.
  3. Limitless with Bradley Cooper/Robert de Niro. Very good. 4/5
  4. Buried. It's entertaining, but a couple of minutes before the ending I guessed how it was going to finish
  5. From the idiot whose last post was "Dinner For Schmucks," I just watched "Piranha."

    I feel sick.
  6. The Big Lebowski third time in two weeks
  7. Last night, watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (aka. the Deadly Horse-poo - no I don't know why); best of the lot, thought it was really good. Love the fact Boris the Blade has a mini-cameo

Before that, had to watch Devil Wears Prada as part of my module on Gender & Genre in Contemporary Cinema, part of my exam prep. - not ashamed to say I did actually enjoy it lol.

And it's a film with a lot of interesting gender issues going on.

  9. Certainly is. Been reading up on the history of feminist critiques of cinema in general to flesh out my understanding of the area because it's not my strongest field of knowledge, amazing how much there is to think about. Granted, it's reading I really should have done before I started the module lol, but better late than never.

LOL. It's Pandora's Box. Once you start looking, you start seeing it everywhere. Meryl Streep's oevre on its own is enough to keep you busy the rest of semester.

Lol, unfortunately I've only got a month to acquaint myself well enough with the whole lot, I broke up for the end of the semester last Friday, got my exam on 10th May (beginning of the exam period) before my last exam on 2nd June on Multiculturalism, fairly distinct and different areas of study lol. I really planned my final year out well
  12. I went to the cinema yesterday and watched Rio. Makes you wanna go to the carnival
