I love Goldeneye, if only because the N64 game brings so many memories. So many friendships in high-school blossomed and ended with that game. That, and the girl playing Natalia was beautiful.
  2. And the voice actor for Natalia on that game certainly made a noise when she was hit It became something else when running around playing 'slappers only'

    Great game.

i didnt know about that game

But did you understand my point about JB ?
  4. Yes, I did. Daniel Craig and the last few films have really moved the series into modern day action films. But as you say, he's not quite in the image of previous Bonds.

While we're on the subject of Bond, what are peoples thoughts on Idris Elba playing the role? There was a small storm over Christmas regarding this.
  5. Just watched Cowspiracy. A life changer, surreal movie which makes you go wtf at some moments. Would recommend this one to everyone who cares about life and our world

I have yet to watch Mandela, but I saw him in The Office, Prometheus and Luther. My only concern with Idris is that he may not have the charisma to carry the Bond series, which I think is also my main gripe with D. Craig. What do you guys think?

  7. Definitely have to say Skyfall. I liked the way they set up the story and I also loved the way they used it to celebrate 50 years of Bond films. Plus, the overall theme of the movie, the contrast and conflict between old and new, was spot on. I liked Bronson and Connery as Bond, but Daniel Craig's Bond felt really refreshing.
  8. "My Dinner with Andre" (1981)
  9. I have a little problem with Craig as Bond. And also the films with him. Just action, almost no humour. They take themselves too serious.

Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace help set-up Craig's Bond as they wanted to reboot the continuity of the series, so I don't think it's fair to compare those two films with the typical Bond films.

But Skyfall definitely feels like your typical Bond film in terms of the humor, but at the same time it feels fresh. A good scene where they poked fun at their legacy was when Q asked Bond if he was expecting an exploding pen, and then went on to say that they're not into those kinds of things anymore.
  11. Yeah Skyfall wasn't bad, first what I enjojed with Craig, but still the personality of Bond isn't what i expect. I could Imagine G. Clooney as Bond. Typical British (even if he isn't British) calm face in every situation.
  12. american sniper with Bradley Cooper, great !
