    Actually, it's not impossible that it would work. Some NASA people have said so.

    The film is mostly scientifically accurate. The biggest problem it has is the storm in the beginning wouldn't knock the spacecraft over. The atmosphere on Mars is way too thin.
  3. Spectre. Very enjoyable and probably more 'classic Bond' than its predecessors. I liked the gritty, more serious and more thriller-spy Bonds in Casino Royale, Quantum and Skyfall though, so I have mixed feelings about this. The opening scene alone is worth a ticket though.

    I've read about that too by now...
    Well, if the atmosphere is so tin there, it might work indeed.
    But first they show how a storm can tilt over a huge spacecraft and then duct tape and plastic will hold during similar storms...

    Yeah, it's that storm stuff in the beginning that's wrong.
  6. I found very stupid when he closed the broken door with that plastic and duct tape and he moved inside that place without problems and worries , when a little problem will kill you , i would get my astronaut outfit everytime just in case

    Was annoyed by that too.
    But like Olof said, apparantly storms in Mars will never do lots of damage. The heaviest one could be compared to a breeze that messes with your hair.
    So they messed up with showing a heavy storm in the beginning and thus taking down the thrustworthiness of the later scenes...
