I will take your points and agree fully. However, I think it is still a strong film, especially if compared to others in it's genre (Mummy etc). The action sequences show the increase in funding from Raiders. Rollercoaster is corking. And I actually quite like Short-Round.

    Raiders is peerless though.

Now there's two of us taking it too seriously...

What do you think about Crystal Skull then? Worried/excited/couldn't care less/wish they'd not bothered??

Crystal Skull with Harrison in it's seventies (or sixties, whatever..)...don't expect that much..

    Sixties.

And the trailer looks good. I have faith in Harrison, Steven and George. I think they'll play on the age thing well...

I'm excited to go see Crystal Skull, just because it's Indiana Freakin' Jones and I grew up trying to mimic the storylines in the backyard with my friends....but to be honest, the trailer scares me. George Lucas proved with the Star Wars prequels that he goes overboard when it comes to special effects, to the point where they're actually distracting because they don't look real. When I watched the Crystal Skull trailer, I half expected Jar Jar Binks to pop up.....

But I'll still be lining up on opening day, no question.
  4. Small Soldiers!
Saw it in Sainsburys for a mere £4 and remember the joy it brought me back when I was a kid and it first came out. Now it's insanely cheesey at points but still retains the awesome sort of toy story injected with fire and war and what not attitude. That and Kirsten Dunst

    Persuasion - Jane Austen adaptation. It's a chick-flick, but it's ok
