But, in fairness, the films would have been 12 hours king, each!!
As they stand at between 3 and 4 it's long enough. I think they're corking.

I definitely think they're good either way, don't get me wrong, great to sit down of an evening and watch with *alcoholic beverages* and peanuts lol, BUT if you know the books inside out, you should know which one is better

The books are unbeatable, period. But they offer different things.

BTW - rewatched Matrix Reloaded the other day. I think this film gets an unfair kicking. I love it.

Agreed. Matrix was a hard film to follow up, but Reloaded is hardly poor

    Revolution...hmmm...lol

Used to be obsessed, still love it. I am much more for the first 3 films, the "first" trilogy didn't have that something - far too many effects for my liking. RotS is the best of that though.

My favourite is Empire Strikes Back

The first trilogy seems to be about Luke. The Phantom Menace's main character is for me Obi-Wan. In the Clone Wars it starts to be about Ani and Padme and when you watch Revenge, you get that it's whole about Darth Vader. IMHO
