    Still, I don't see any changes made to support a discussion...and I believe we have almost never had a discussion...only a couple of minor ones. I don't know what can be done tho...


    No need for guilt. Everyone has their own reasons and circumstances for not being able to submit a review. About the actual discussion, I think we should just wait until all the reviews are in then just discuss as you wish. If someone says such and such a performance was crap and you though it rocked then go ahead and question. No rules needed there.

    Right...actually this system, the one week that's given for "collection" gives us enough time to discuss!

  5. Thanks for stepping up and saying what I think we all were thinking, Dan. It all sounds good to me, although I want to echo what Nate said and say that I really think we should find a way to have a discussion on the show. Let's talk about things at some point, not just send our reviews in and have that be that. I imagine it will be hard, since we're literally spread all over the world, but maybe we could set aside a few days to actually post the "roundtable" part of our BRT.

    As I said, the new system...you could say that covers that. The first "collection" week is a good time to do the roundtable part for the previous show...then the next week is to listen to the current show and write the review.

  9. so as an attempt to 'discuss' how did watching the video this week compare to simply listening. I found it a much more engaging experience overall but I also love listening to a boot and having your own mind thinking about which guitar Edge is using or where each band member is at one of those times the crowd screams. What about yourselves?

    Well, I can't give a decent opinion since I haven't done that reviewing-with-video experience, but when i read you were going to do it... I loved it. I think the best we can do is offering the option of the video and the audio, and let the people choose between.

    Just like sergio, I didn't do it either...but I can imagine how it was...it is a good idea, and it makes it much more interesting and enjoyable, I'd love it if we could do more of that.

    But...there is this thing that comes to mind. IF we are supposed to review Audio Bootlegs here, watching the video will change the experience.
    I mean, when you see and hear instead of just hearing, you won't care about some of the issues the audio bootleg might have, such as quality issues...because you aren't just concentrating on the audio.

    But if we are supposed to review "bootlegs" in general, some shows have video bootlegs, so we get to review the videos as well...in that case the video (i.e. filming, editing, etc.) should also be mentioned and discussed in the review.

    Indeed. Overall, Ali says that we should modify the parameters of the review. And he's right.
