    Definitely don't listen to the album version too much. Can't remember last time I did. I do listen to a fair few older boots and I nearly always skip Gloria, especially the second time I'm listening.

    Don't get me wrong, the opening 30s or so with the guitar are fantastic. But after that it bores me to tears.

    Fair enough. So, it sounds like it's more a personal distaste for the song, not that it's being overplayed and you're sick of it.

  11. a big big figure indeed. Popmart was equally expensive I think. The crew were renting out jets each night to fly the steel and scaffolding from country to country instead of just renting it each night. Logistical nightmare

    It did, McGuinness mentioned it in U2 by U2 that PopMart made far less in the way of profit, although I don't want to imagine what it cost literally lol!
