  1. a big big figure indeed. Popmart was equally expensive I think. The crew were renting out jets each night to fly the steel and scaffolding from country to country instead of just renting it each night. Logistical nightmare

    It did, McGuinness mentioned it in U2 by U2 that PopMart made far less in the way of profit, although I don't want to imagine what it cost literally lol!

    The bit that got me hooked when I first heard Gloria was (aswell as the riff) the outro, with the Gregorian-esque chanting - has been a little favourite of mine ever since...
