  3. I did listen to the show on really good headphones, so I didn't think the sound was all that bad. That being said, I'm not the audiophile that some here are, so I unknowingly settle for mediocre when there are better things available.

Well, I listened to the St. Goarshausen show and comparing it with the Stockholm '92 show (with WGRYWH) I preferred the latter - on both earphones and speakers, I don't think my ears like remastered stuff...:S
  6. I'm keen to get some decent discussion going with this one but not everyone's posted.

Yeah, the best thing to do is probably just start some discussion, and we'll slow chat through it. So, what have you got?

    Well,
    1) I must have been listening to a different show to other BRT members, because I honestly thought the sound wasn't too bad. Everyone was audible enough. Granted I'm not an audiophile as you referred to.
    2) When oh when, will Bono feel like singing WOWY again??!!
    3) Could someone pls explain to me how this was a "lazy" performance? It was laid back and relaxed with a kinda party feel to it, but that's not lazy. The boys were just having fun and that came through in the performance. It one of the reasons why this will stay on my iPod for a little while.

Hmm...I think that Gerard & Dan will have to answer #1 and #3, but I didn't think that WOWY was as bad as you thought. Sure, the beginning sounded pretty bad, but I thought he pulled it together after that lackluster first verse.

Ok, I just thought if it wasn't for Edge holding the song together, the whole thing would have collapsed. Bono's voice deterioration over the years hasn't helped WOWY. Compare JT versions to Vertigo ones and they're worlds apart. I also think it's a state-of-mind thing. He has no passion behind it anymore.

I've got to agree with that. As much as I love the song, I hope that it isn't played regularly on the next tour, for the exact reasons that you've listed here. If they keep it in rotation, I'd love to hear "Love Will Tear Us Apart" again too...I get chills everytime I hear that snippet.

Agreed, keep it on ice for next tour, so they can re-discover it, and when they do, throw in lots of snippets! Shine Like Stars/Never Tear Us Apart/Love Will Tears Us Apart......

What did you think of Instant Karma!? Should U2 do more covers?
