  1. after the mp3 conversion the levels of improvement almost dissapeared completely. I could not believe how much quality was lost going from lossless to mp3 (I could hear the difference on my laptop speakers!!) so if you ever want to try a lossless gig then try this one. The new links should still offer an upgrade for most though (higher bitrate, better bass etc).

    PS : The upgrade and original both have quite a bit of hiss so I would suggest listening in the car or burning to CD and listening through speakers. Much more enjoyable. Uploading now. .. .
  2. There's a lot of post over the last page that I want to respond to, but can't be arsed to copy and quote etc. Basically:

    Drew, I loved your post. Evidently you're not banned from the BRT and I agree completely that we have been able to discuss a controversial show without it getting ugly and nasty. That would have been all too easy and I think it says a lot about us that it didn't.

    Aussiemofo - you've made an excellent contribution to the BRT in only a fortnight, I agree with Drew

    Chris - nice review, and thanks for posting it

    Gerard - I agree, let's wait until the newest audio is up and all agree to download that. My copy is flawed for sure; there's interference on Zoo Station and the segue from EBTTRT to Mysterious Ways jumps to name but two. Hopefully this will iron that out.

    I'll re-post the summary to that effect.....

  5. I think I might ditch the video idea this time. I've never bothered my arse listening to this gig start to finish in one go so i'd like focus on reviewing the audio only.

    haha. The gig will sound better through anything than it will through headphones. Headphones will maximize the hiss

    Oooooh I see lol. Yeah, I listen to most bootlegs through speakers, whether that be mp3 player or computer, so I looks forward - is there really a noticeable difference in the upgrade then? I know I'm sceptical but I thought the recording was fairly swell m'self
