For the Dutch: U23D in Amsterdam! September 9!

Ik heb met pijn en moeite een pasje kunnen scoren, daarmee moet ik naar de RAI om helemaal gescreend te worden. De beveiliging van dit evenement is zeer strak, denk niet dat het eenvoudig is om op een andere manier binnen te komen.

Wat ik heb begrepen laten ze maar 2 nummers zien, dus als je er niet bij bent, niet getreurd ik zie ook maar een deel.

Uiteraard zal ik begin volgende week melden en jullie verslag uitbrengen. Zal kijken of ik stiekem foto's kan maken, hoewel dat niet echt mooi wordt denk ik.

Was gisteravond in de RAI, in het auditorium van de RAI welteverstaan, waar eerst een interview met Robert Zemeckis, de regisseur van Who framed Roger Rabbit, Forrest Gump en vele andere films was. De belangstelling daarvoor was al overweldigend, er stond een giga rij bij de deur, maar dankzij een listige glip actie (je bent Amsterdammer of je bent 't niet) kon ik via een andere deur naar binnen sneaken en een plek op de voorste rij bemachtigen.

Na het interview werd Steve Schklair, oprichter & CEO van 3ality Digital Systems geïntroduceerd. Hij legde uit hoe het proces van het filmen van zo'n concert gaat, dat je niet aan de band kan vragen of ze een take nog een keer willen doen bijvoorbeeld, en toen liet hij 3 nummers zien. Brilletje op en klaarzitten dus;

Het geluid stond loeihard en het eerste dat we zagen was Bono op de trommel act, maar dan in 3D! Echt waanzinnig, het was net of je hem aan kon raken. Sunday Bloody Sunday voor een overigens uitzinnige menigte, daar kunnen we in Nederland nog een puntje aan zuigen!. Als een ander bandlid in beeld kwam, hoordje je ook zijn instrument harder, waardoor je nog meer het idee had dat je bijna in bijvoorbeeld Adam kroop!

Het beeld is glashelder, loepzuiver en je wordt echt helemaal in het scherm gezogen, om op andere momenten te beseffen dat Bono uit het scherm komt en je bijna aanraakt.

Heb toch een groot aantal concerten in het echt gezien, maar dit is bijna nog intenser!

Tweede nummer: Miss Sarajevo
Derde nummer: Vertigo

Die laatste is helemaal waanzinnig! Er wordt ook water in het publiek gegooid en het is net of dat zo uit het scherm spat!

Na afloop beantwoorde Steve nog een aantal vragen, zo vertelde hij dat een bioscoop die dit wil laten zien wel over bepaalde special projectors en een silverscreen moet beschikken, maar het kon hier ook, dus ik heb het gevoel dat we in Nederland deze film wel te zien krijgen (misschien een actiepunt voor de Fanclub?).

U2-3D komt alleen in 3D uit overigens én Steve vertelde over de samenwerking met U2 die zeer intens was. Hij vertelde dat vooral Bono heel erg onzeker wordt als hij zichzelf op het scherm ziet, maar gelukkig niet zo dat hij zichzelf eruit ge-edit wil zien!

Geloof me, dit is echt een waanzinnige belevenis! Een soort achtbaanrit met U2! Eén waarschuwing; als je dit concert ooit gaat zien, zorg dat je niet teveel gedronken hebt! (Niet dat ik dat had gedaan hoor!) en het gebruik van drugs lijkt me helemaal onhandig, de beelden en het geluid zuigen je op, trillen door je lijf en laten je niet meer los.

Toen ik weer op m'n fiets stapte had ik nog steeds het kippenvel op m'n armen!

The image is crystal-clear, loepzuiver and you become really totally in the screen breastfed, on other moments to realize that Bono from the screen comes and you almost touches.

Really a large number of concerts in it saw really, but this is almost yet more intense!

Second number: Beauty queen Sarajevo Third number: Vertigo

That last one is totally crazy! There becomes also water in the public gegooid and it is neat whether as from the screen splash!

After result answered Steve yet a number ask, as told he that a movie theater that this want to let see well over particular special projectors and a silverscreen must see to, but it could here also, thus I have the feeling that we in the Netherlands these film well to see get (perhaps an action point for the Fanclub?).

U2-3D comes only in 3D from otherwise én Steve told over the cooperation with U2 that very intensely was. He told that especially Bono quite awful uncertainty becomes as he itself on the screen sees, but fortunately not so that he itself from it you-edit want to see!

Me believe, am real a crazy experience this! A kind of achtbaanrit with U2! Eén warning; if you this concert ever will see, take care that your not surplus drank have! (Not that I that had done hear!) and the use of drugs resembles me totally awkwardly, the images and the sound suck you, tremble through you incorporate and let you no longer loose.
