1. Got a message today saying they will demolish Hannover Quay (the studios I suppose) but U2 would get the penthouse (of a new building on HQ???) to record their songs. Anyone else heard something about this?
  2. I haven't heard anything, but it wud be a pity if HQ is teared down. Too much history there. It was the Head Quarters of U2. Too bad.
  3. These plans date from 2002 if I remember right. Tthe new studio will be situated in the upper 2 floors of the U2 tower in Ringsend. I think it's due for completion in 2008 or so...
  4. Apparently there was something in The Sun about it today...

GUITAR legend THE EDGE told me how sad he was that the band's productive
studio in Dublin is about to be bulldozed.

The U2 star said Hanover Quay, where they recorded the album How To
Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, had a special place in their hearts.

He said: "It's getting demolished as part of a redevelopment of the
docklands. It is going to be turned into a tower block and we will make
    the penthouse into a studio.

It's very sad, that place felt like home. I don't know what it will be
like recording in the new studio, we are so used to the other place."

He also revealed U2 have been in Morocco and wrote some songs there. But
he added: "We don't have anything scheduled for a new album. It's nice
    not to have that pressure."

    Hahhahahahaha... xDDDDD
  9. This is unfortunate. I'm actually planning a trip to Ireland for my 30th b-day and was planning on visiting that area. Would loved to been able to hang outside with other fans and possibly see the band. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere.
  10. Hav the same problem Elsewhere? So what's the other, best place to meet them? Clarence? Where are they goin' to complete their new album?
  11. Anyone know the current status of the project? Curiosity's got the best of me....

Coinstruction has been delayed but the last I heard was that it was due to start this year and be finished in 2011.

Having said that, as of 2 weeks ago Hanover Quay HQ hadn't been demolished.
