    My Generation is alright, a good intro. Personally I have my own version of Meaty Beaty Big & Bouncy. Only has a few track changes, but certainly captures the true essence of the Who in the 60s.

    As for the 70s, thats where its uncharted territory. Who's Next is the father of synth rock. Quad is a synth artwork.

    I'll make you a comp of their best. A lot of comps out have good tracks, but make bad cuts.

    It is a greatest hits... it has 16 songs, three of which are "previously unreleased" (it said on the back...). Those ones are:

    Pure and Easy, Baby Don't You Do It, Water, and Behind Blue Eyes

    Who's Next the remaster is great. But here are my problems with it:

    Pure and Easy isn't the best mix, trust me
    Baby Don't ya Do it is edited... big time. The real version lasts 8 mins.
    Naked Eye and Water are edited. They are from a live performace. Water sucked live during this era. Just never made it past 1970. Naked Eye is great, but cut. I have the entire performance uncut, and it's better than what they say.
    Too Much of Anything and I Don't even know Myself work here, theyre the only things on the album worth the purchase, besides Whos Next.
    Behind Blue Eyes (alternate) is alright, not as good as the original.

    Oh, and Baba O'Riley is complete here. The original album chopped off some of the intro synth. So this version features the 40 second intro heard on the live versions.
  6. Also.... do not try and read into the story of PT's Lifehouse.... it ruined Who's Next for me. The album stands better without any story thing whatsoever.

    I also forgot.... get the version of My Wife off John Entwistle's Solo Album, Rigor Mortis Sets In. He wrote My Wife, and said the version on Whos Next was weak. Sounds much better.

    EDIT - had to give a thumbs up to the performance of One from the Boston 2005-12-04 boot. Amazing performance, I don't know exactly what happens but Edge "adds lib" to the solo before the "Do you hear us coming, Lord?" snippet, goes on for at least a minute or something, it's simply fucking awesome guitar playing from the great man.

    EDIT (2) - I'm off lol, have fun guys!

    EDIT (3) - I miss the October lead into New Year's Day! Anyone else think the same?
