    Sorry Ali!!

Hopefully you saw Jeremy's response on the Patriot thing.

Manchester United are essentially victim's of their own success. It happens with any big club. If you don't support them they are the mortal enemy. If they then start winning every thing it just makes it worse. Some of the guys from the UK could probably explain this better for you, I'm not really into soccer.

OK, not being from USA and only having a vague understanding of the game, could someone please explain to me why everyone hates the Patriots so much:-

I don't get it. I know they blew the Super Bowl, but surely an undefeated team is to be celebrated? Or is it like Manchester United here for the soccer?

Being from the US and a huge soccer fan (yeah it definitely should be called football!), 1- we hate the Patriots, because we wanted the underdog to win. I kind of didn't want either team to win because us Chicagoans never win any championships (im a Cubs fan and this might be the 100th straight year with out a World Series) 2- I don't think the Patriots are as up as Man U 's standards for winning championships. It's more like the NY Yankees. 3- Real football is better than American football. I think in the next few years it will become more popular! GO USA! GO CHICAGO FIRE! GO MAN U!

thats my rambling (trust me i have to defend soccer alot around these parts!)

In Massachusetts, sports is somewhat like air, as I'm guessing it is in Chicago. People are having trouble breathing today here.

Sorry, that had nothing to do with soccer/real football.

Hey allbecauseofu2, if you had bono on your team like in the pic , i would have definitely cheered for you!!! Boo to the New England Revolution!!
Sports is like that in Chicago, every year after the Cubs season ends empty handed, i find myself getting veeeeeeery teary eyed, as I am sure if you are a Red Sox fan (before they won in 04/07)
