1. I saw that last week. Bloody awesome. Something like a 180mph wind. He flew back around and landed without a hitch right after this. Awesome

    apparently it was a freak gust of wind. It looks like he was committed to the landing. Amazing that he landed 10 minutes later without a hitch

    It really is. But I read that after what happened, he was finally able to convince the control tower to let him land on a perpendicular runway instead of the one he originally tried on.

    So did he set the wing in the grass? Did you see the pictures of the wing afterwards?

    Yeah, I saw a picture on CNN over here of it....I think it was taken by a passenger from the plane. And to answer my earlier question, the tower actually did offer the other runway first!
