Seriously, I really have no idea what is St. Patrick's Day about. Could anyone explain it to me?

edit: I know who was St. Patrick, but I'd just like to know how do people celebrate it

    Hello Maura!!
    that sounds AWESOME!!!
here the same, getting ready for a promising weekend... seems like there are a great deal of parties and stuff to do this weekend in BA!!! both tonight and tomorrow night!!!
also planning St. Paddy's there's going to be a big gathering at an Irish Social Club called Club Fahy. There's a big community of Irish-Argentinians, so a big party is been planned... not to mention that I'm planning with a couple of friends to go down to a very nice Irish Pub near the house and have some pints of Guinness!! And I jsut remembered, last year they promised all of us to serve GREEN BEER, so I'll let you know if they did!!!

hey, where are your friends staying?? at your place?? hotel???

    cheers!!!

They'll be staying over at my friend's apartment. It should be a good weekend. They are all on spring break right now, and I had my break last week, so I didn't get to see them much

you'll have a great time anyway!!!
    It's St. Paddy's!!!!

    tell me about that parade???
  5. I'm pissed as hell. Me and severael of my buddies got in trouble for making racist remarks against indians. If we had done it I'd take my punishment like a man, but since we didn't I'm bitchin. One of my best friends is actually an Indian. Ironicly two of them are also in the few U2 fans I kniow category. Were looking for loopholes and mistakes right now.

Over here in the UK as the patron saint of Ireland it's essentially become an excuse for a big piss-up, usually involving Guiness. There were more valid and serious reasons initially.

I believe St Patrick went from Wales to save the Irish. Much like Edge.
