Third Eye Blind played at my college a few days ago and they were pretty good. It was cool to hear all those jams that I listened to back in 5th , 6th grade the show was $3, for students of my college. $20 for general admission. They said they shoudl be coming out with a new album within the year.... but U2 has said that too...

Indeed, glad it went ok that could be going on next year assuming I get into the Uni. of my preference, UEA in Norwich, we get loads of gigs with some pretty big names, e.g Dropkick Murphies, Avenged Sevenfold, Megadeth, Lost Prophets (are playing soon) etc. (I only went to Dropkick Murphies 'cause I do kinda like them) and Runrig also played there, although again that probably isn't going to mean much to a lot of people...
  2. yeah they definitely played Jumper, Graduate, Deep Inside of You, Semi-Charmed Life, etc.

    It was really awesome.

    I even caught a pick!

Ha, the only thing I've ever caught at gigs are a couple of elbows lol...
  5. haha, i even caught a few of those, too!

I was standing by a bunch of my friends off to the left of the main stage and the band set up a small stage in the back of the audience and played 3 songs all the way on the opposite side of the gym, so naturally everyone starts pushing back that way, But when the band came back to the main stage everyone pushed each other to get good spots and somehow i was pushed all the way to like 3 people away from the stage. The lead guitarist threw like 10 picks out and didnt catch any, but once the concert was over I was walking out and I saw like 4 sitting on the ground...picked up 2 and gave one to my friend. Was a good show !!!

Aha sounds great! At the DM gig I mentioned (that was in early Feb, I think? or was it even last year? I can't remember lol!) a load of my mates got on stage during the encore, was a good laugh although because a lot of the people who go are punky-type nutjobs, they made a right fucking arse of it lol...I hate it when there are people at a gig who wear like leather jackets positively rippling with spikes and metal things that look like they could skin a cow, it makes the gig more a fight for bloody survival lol. Nothing like an adrenaline surge though I guess!...

Sao Paulo is ready. This 'upgrade' is from the exact same source but now with known lineage. I think the previous one had been re-encoded one time too many. Nice upgrade overall and makes this a stunning overall recording. No announcer after COBL as mentioned before. Enjoy

yeah, I'm not a big fan of the mosh pit buisness....haha maybe it's because I'm not strong enough to push all these guys back! lol, but I'd rather listen/watch music than be knocked over hearing it ont he ground.

    Great work, Gerard!

on a side note, not sure if you saw my earlier question about obtaining a Elevation poster from a certain, specific date. Any ideas/hints? I'm looking for 4-15-01's show in Portland.

I'll keep an eye out. Holding off for ebay is probably gonna be your best bet though

Ha, I'm not overly keen on moshpits, although I am of a pretty decent/tall build so I can "hold my own", but when you're in the middle and there's not really much of a way out, I guess you have to enjoy it because there's not much else to be done lol! Kinda like going on a rollercoaster, once you're at the top why complain lol? You can't turn the clock back so go with it!

That said, my favourite gigs have been Runrig gigs in Norwich and around the east of England on their last few tours because it's more about the music and just being part of something special than a cheap way of losing weight lol...

And re. Gerard, nice work with the upgrade, am going to investigate now!
