i'm just downloading lossless gigs and converting myself then uploading them again so that we have correct sources and lineage and so far they have all came out as upgrades. I've downloaded Nantes and converted it so i'll compare it to what we've got on here and hopefully it will be a little better again

I can't help but agree (and I don't doubt your exaggeration). I'll just work through as many gigs as I can for now. The sound is so much better when you know the source and lineage. One day we might have everything sourced and in 192kbps. If we're gonna do lossy, we might as well do it properly. It'l be a long haul though

You don't have to give us a new show every week though. Time taken over mastering a lossless gig will probably herald results ten times that of quickly editing a few 128kbps (even if there have been some decent results). Just a thought

Not all shows here are 128kbps but I get what you mean...By the way, it wasn't my intention to remaster a show every week. I was a bit too enthusiastic at the beginning. Takin' my time now...I'll look for lossless on U2Torrents etc., if there is one suitable, I might remaster it. Future MP-3 Remasters will be put in my own topic, so that the 'plebs' can choose for themselves...
