Quiet day today. Cat castrate and a mammectomy (=breast lump removal) on a dog. Consults are full of vaccines and weight checks (:Z ).

I have a thyroidectomy on a cat on Thursday - his thyroid is overactive meaning his metabolic rate has gone too high. Removing the gland (which lies in the neck between the trachea (windpipe) and jugular vein) will solve the problem. Nice little surgery.

The Lakes are fabulous. We've been really lucky with the weather so far; when it's been wet it's usually been night-time. Some great days on the hills in-between days at work!

What do you do in the Wirral? One of my mates works at the University Vet Hospital at Leahurst which is in that area.

Amazing

All those words come from Lain and are very similar in spanish... Thyroidectomy = tiroidectomia; Trachea = traquea; Jugular = Yugular... And so on

Me ? Motor Trade...nothing special,nothing glamorous.You on the other hand are saving natures creatures.........guess I should have paid attention in school,eh ?

Leahurst is the South of the Wirral,closer to gibbo1968 than me,but still only about 25mins away.

I suppose it also applies in French, Italian and all the other post-latin languages. I actually don't manage this kind of words in French nor in Italian, so I really don't know.

Ah, man, I know nothing about cars. Just glad when mine works and pissed when it doesn't! I couldn't do my job without my car so it all works out.

I've only been over that way once; seems a really nice area.

The further over to west (Welsh side) of the Wirral are the nicer parts.That's where some of the footballers live,the ones who play for Everton & Liverpool.

Sir Paul McCartney has got a house down in Parkgate which is down that way,visits quite regular......still got relatives on this side of the Mersey.

Not as nice as the Lakes though.........

The most famous person I've ever seen in the Lakes was Sir Chris Bonnington.

Is that one of the houses Heather's trying to nick of him

I don't understand why. Do you like your job? Then there's no reason for your last sentence.

My father sells cars on a multi-trademark shop (AUDI, BMW, MercedesBenz, Jaguar, Ferrari and so on... Only hi-prices cars
