  3. Since noone answered the poll of the day yesterday, new way for me to amuse myself.

Song of the week: Paranoid by Black Sabbath. One of the first real metal songs.

Yeah, nice thing for metal roots, etc...but I can't stand Ozzy's voice.
  5. Hey all! Sorry about putting up that Popmart thing, but then again I read something about keeping General chat clean. Yesterday I planted a tree. Cliche for Earth Day, maybe.

Anyway, I still haven't got the chance to hear Pop. However, I did find a great boot during the first leg of PopMart. 1997-05-22 Three Rivers Stadium is a great listen. Maybe not the best quality gig out there, but I'm glad I got to hear the Edge sing Sweet Caroline.

    By the way,

Just curious, who are these two people?

Anyway, I'm gonna give Pop another listen, then watch my PopMart Live from Mexico DVD.

I might buy the Slane DVD later on this week, looks like a good show!
  6. Guitarist of the day: Mark Knopfler. Widely belived to be one of the the greatest fingerpick guitarist of all time.

So I'm guessing bass player of the millenium (1900-2000) would be John Entwistle, eh?
  9. Nah. I'm changing song of the week to song of the dau also.

Bass player of the day: Flea
Drummer of the day: Phil Collins
Keyboardist of the day: Roy Bittan

The Dalton Brothers were a fake band that U2 created to open for their own concert. They made a couple appearances on the Joshua Tree tour.

Remy is the creater/webmaster of U2start.com
  11. Yeah, the Daltons are one of the best jokes in the history of rock.

I find it funny that many members of the audience were unaware that it was U2....but that was before the days of the gigantic ZooTV video screens.
