Personally, I've downloaded some singles, but full albums are all available on half.com or ebay for literally like 3 dollars. Part of being a fan (IMO again) is actually having physical copies of each album.

    very nice Jeremy. I am the same way. I absolutely hate having burnt CDs, music off iTunes, etc. I totally love opening a new CD (or getting a used CD) and looking at the artistic album covers and who the band "thanked" for helping with the album.
  4. If it cannot be gotten in any other way, physically (Unreleased and Rare), iTunes or other sites are the way to go.

    However, I do stand for buying the CDs to get top quality.

    very true, thats what i think, too.


    It just stinks how the CD Industry is going out of business because of things like iTunes. Its really sad, so I don't mind spending a couple of dollars on a few CDs and actually having the physical copy in your hand.

    I don't think it's going out of business, is it? If anything, it's doing even better, because more people are buying the music without the extra costs of packaging, right?
  10. I'm thinking of new interesting ways to say hello. Before it was G'day, now it's Aloha! But I do enjoy the Honolulu 2006 DVD and quite a good shot too.



    I'd like to see the recording industry stay alive and not die off because of iTunes, but at the same time, see bands like Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails going against it and stopping the recording executives making just as much money as the artists, and those executives need to learn that keeping DRM (digital rights management) alive for not allowing fair use under paying good money, and accusing everyday consumers as pirates (that goes for the RIAA, ARIA and IFPI) harming the industry for those burdened with it. And anyone like SonyBMG that introduces something like XCP will see me return the product tied to a brick.

  11. Well, less CDs are being sold and I've read a few articles saying that many CD stores are going out of business, because they just can't compete with iTunes and illegal downloading.

    I know a huge record store in downtown Chicago just recently closed, because they were not getting enough sales.
