To tell you the truth, I never watch any football at all...only at the cups. I don't know much about it, but I know what I saw...and I saw that those were not honorable sportsmen.

  9. Junior in High School

So, as Monday approaches, so does a change in my life. Let now take you back to April 2007, to better explain my story. At the time, I was singing songs by the Who, and had mastered Roger Daltrey's way of singing. After a trip to Florida I could no longer sing so well anymore, and it faded away. Fast forward to September of 2007. I befriended two Senior girls who could sing really good. Before we all started singing together we played various games and talked. When I needed someone to talk to, they were there. When I needed a shoulder to cry on, they were there.

As some of you know, I started listening to U2 September of last year as well, after I bought U218 Singles in Florida (ironic a little bit). When I started singing U2 songs, I found my voice. The one song I aspired to sing was Still Havent Found. Since then, life has been awesome.

Now, as much as I want to say I found my voice with U2, it would not have been without the encouragement of those two girls that told me, "if you aspire to do something in life and really hope, anything is possible". Last Friday I sang to them some songs that meant so much to me. I first sang Still Havent Found, which they loved. I wanted to sing Bad, but never go to. I sang the Love chorus intro to the Fly as Bono did in the Boston DVD, which they requested (because we sang this earlier with the chorus from that's what friends are for right after it). I finished off with Sometimes You Cant Make It On Your Own. This song spoke to me because those two girls are the reason I sing, and wanted to thank them for it. They told me Friday was their last day of school. Although, the last day for seniors is Wednesday, I hope they can come back for one more day. I even wrote them a song, which I plan on singing to them the next time I see them...

Scared to death about the future,
Care too much about the past
    The present about my worries
    They only seem to everlast
    But there's a light
A light at the end of my tunnel
    Theres a light
I'm hoping for one more day

    But Love...
