    I never understood what's the idea behind this kind of behavior amongst tapers. If you have a record that you taped, and you are member of a sharing community - then why not distribute your stuff as wide as you can? Your reputation would be higher and other people would share more with you then...

    Maybe they keep it to trade other 'rare' recordings if it's a good one and no others exist.
