1. I'm looking for Coldplay at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Detroit on 11-3-2008 from the Viva La Vida Tour. Does anyone have it?
  2. searching for The Cure bootlegs, both audio and video.

I tried "http://www.foreverdrowning.net/torrent/" but that place seems to be deserted somehow as I'm awaiting the validation of my account for over a week now

searching for 1996-01-26 Rio de Janeiro, 2000-04-22 London Wembley Arena, and 2002-07-27 London Hyde Park.

I know these shows exist as both audio and video bootlegs, but I can't fin them on any torrent tracker any idea, anyone?
  3. I've googled the crap out of the internet and checked DIME almost daily; can't seem to find John Mayer 2010-04-10 Chicago...I know it was just a few days ago, but Mayer has a spot on his website where tapers can upload bootlegs right to it, and I logged on the morning after the show I went to in '08 and the concert was already there. Seems like nothing's getting posted this time around, for any show. If anyone knows of a little secret hub where there's some JM boots, it would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Searching for a famous one this time-

Pete Townshend: Live at the Fillmore 1996-04-30

Legendary show, captured on videocassette and later widely distributed; I think PT even got in on it after he found out it had been fan-recorded. Anyway, I cannot find this ANYWHERE...the one or two existing torrents I've found have 0 seeders and are long dead...does anyone have this show?

Edit: After searching for this for the better part of an hour, all over the internet and torrent websites, I gave up and posted this. Then, I spent another half hour, DETERMINED to find it SOMEWHERE- and came across a completely random website that had it.

    If anyone else is interested:

    http://musiccornershop.blogspot.com/2007/12/jumpin-friends-pete-acoustic-magic-1996.html

Fantastic show, an amaaaaazing listen, and it's broadcast quality.

I don't think I have any of there shows, but I downloaded some shows a while ago from a huge live compillation I found on The Pirate Bay:

    http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5006053/The_Cure_-_Live_Collection_1985-1990

About 15 shows spreading from 1985-09-20 Birmingham to some 1989 show. Some of them are quite good methinks The torrent has lost seeders and it only has 6 now (it had 15 three weeks ago) but it's downloadable anyway.

If I find any info about your requested shows, I will tell you of course
  6. Does anybody else think that searching for an spechiphic show in DIME is a pain in the arse? WTFFFFFF I have never found anything I've looked for. Damn.

If you like The Cure, try http://www.cureconnections.com/ - super site. Maybe you won`t find the shows you`re looking for, but there are tons of great gigs in flac. Highly recommended!

Agreed. I search there first for everything, and even when I put in a specific date in the search query, nothing even remotely related to that date will pop up. I usually just have to get lucky to find anything.

U2Torrents used to be the same way for me. Since I know more about the shows I'd be looking for, and possible "titles" and stuff, it was never TOO difficult...but I don't understand what's so hard about using a search engine that actually narrows down your results.
  9. Indeed search sucks majorly on most torrent sites.

But that is because they are made to search for words and entering a date will try to search torrents with those words.

So 2010-05-15 will return all show in 2010 or shows in May, or shows on the 5th of any other month.

U2Torrents should add date recognition code like we did in the quicksearch. Which is not that hard since the yyyy-mm-dd is considered the 'universal standard' if it comes to things like this.
  10. put + in front of your search terms when searching on torrent sites. Seems to give better results
  11. [OFFTOPIC]

    Yep, avoid - as well.

    + Emphasizes the keyword
    - Doesnt show results with this keywords

Works great on google as well. The Edge -bono will return results focussed at The Edge and not Bono.

Wildcards can also help. Think that is the *, at least on u2start we use that as wildcard.

    Techno* gives Technology Topic.

  12. thanks Sergio and peterschurger for your help on The Cure bootlegs, much appreciated

does anyone know where to find Bon Jovi bootlegs? I'm after the 2001 gig in Munich -- I tried torrent search but I couldn't find it. Maybe somewhere on blogspot or sth - any idea?
