Sounds simple? Yes, it is that simple.

They do that right now in NYC. Hasnt worked out for 'em...

Its not just the regulation, but the education that is vital to the safety of the public at large....

I believe that everyone concentrates on making it difficult to get a gun, but the punishments for committing a crime while are armed are a joke. Make those punishments harsher and see what happens....

no but we carry a gun because we are sure that goodness is lacking in humanity in general, not just in the US.

Free guns in hand of every man is the end for an American dream (if such thing even still exist) if you ask me.

    That is the American Dream!!!!

You should work on your society, not on keeping law that allows you to carry a gun. If I'd need to carry a gun in my own country just to feel safe, I would move to another country, be sure in that.

Safe? I have black bears in my yard once a week. I have one to keep my family safe....

In the end the sheer availability of guns in the US, will lead to more deaths than it will prevent. There was a recent story on the news, where a US school would allow teachers to carry guns, in order to prevent school shootings. However it is much more likely that a gun goes off by accident, or students get their hands on one etc than for a gunman to start a shooting.

I disagree with Bono on this one - and the whole atomic bomb thing......

take away the all guns in the world and wanna know what will happen? Stabbings and beatings will rise but the violent crime rate overall will not change much....

Yep, because the laws aren't strict enough. Sure, you can never completely avoid crime, but you can save some of the 11 000 people that die from guns every year.

Arent strict enough? Since they have already made it virtually impossible to purchase guns in NYC, how could they make it more strict?

That can only be the first step. The next one would be to confiscate the guns in private hands and to put sanctions on private gun possession.

They can have my gun, when they take it from my cold dead hands.

For sure, there's no evidences that would justify USA army to go to Iraq and start a war. And they did because of 9/11. There's no evidences that would connect al'Quaida with 9/11. Hell, Bush drank tee with Bin Laden family that morning.

I never said anything about carrying guns. Just owning them.
