1. Also, you gotta admit that that second post was presumptious/self-rightous as hell.
  2. I havent read the dozen posts. And honestly I dont really care. You both had your say and it should be back to normal now

Not really. Obama is back in the states, taking his sweet ass time deciding what to do in Afghanistan, as more men die.

  4. Well its not an easy decission. If we leave soon than the Taliban has won. Only way to 'win' there is staying there for another decade or two.

But ofcourse nobody thought of that when we invaded Afghanistan in the first place

Its an easy discesion. Either back the troops up, or bring them home.
  6. I'm also disgusted with the way the media has handled the Fort Hood shooting.
  7. Here in Europe it didnt last a few days on the news, and to be honest i havent followed it as well. Media tend to make their coverage over dramatic. Dont know if you mean that. I have the feeling (not more than that) the media in the USA are more based on emotion than the media here.

The plain and simple problem with television media is that it is ratings driven. Years ago, a television news departments was a separate entity focused on nothing but reporting news. In the past few decades they have been put under the same standards, CSI, American Idol, or any other television show. Get ratings, bring in money, or perish. So now we are stuck with Paris Hilton type stories, or sensationalized crap like sex scandals. This June the aftermath of the Iranian elections got decent coverage until the governor of South Carolina came forward with an affair and Michael Jackson died. After that, news from Tehran went away. Sad. Not a liberal problem bias (you guys have your own treehouse now in Fox News so quit whining.)

Exactly, nobody ever complains about illegal Canadians, do they?

Ain't that the truth, since the news is on 24/7, they have to fill it with unimportant topics, stupid people, and follow balloons that may or may not have children inside them

You wanna know how terrible and idiotic American media is?Jon Stewart is probably the best journalist out there, and he's a freaking comedian

  10. While they might be worse with their French and Celine Dion...at least Mexicans bring along taco's...

You are right about Jon. He, Colbert, Bill Maher and a few others actually do a better job handling the news through comedy, because they call bullshit when it happens. CNN, MSNBC and Fox take the news of the day, put on a Dem and a Rep and let them scream talking points at each other. And if one side says something ridiculous like Obama wasn't born in the US, they treat it like a real substantial claim. Did you see the job Stewart did last week on Hannity. He got Hannity to admit to using the wrong video.
