I believe that not all soldiers are against War, many of them as Aaron says, are proud. I would have doubts on the reasons they have for this pride tho. I don't know if all of this group are proud of the War in the true sense of this statement.
Some are proud, because they are afraid to face their doubts of the War, so they say: nah, I'm proud, we were great.
Some are proud because they believe they served their country and made it a safer place.
Some are proud because they believe the world is a better place now because of the war.
Some are proud because they believe they did whatever their superiors saw best, no matter it was right or wrong, made things better or worse, so they believed they served their country and are heroes and patriots.
I don't know which are more wrong.

I nkow you will, which is why I'm trying to be civil. Theres a part of me, that suspects Yogi was trying to flamebait me, since I've made my intention to join the military public on here, but I like to think we dont have that big a jerks around here.

Did I ever tell you that you are jerk for wanting to join the army? I didn't. Do I respect your decision? I do. Do I think that it's wrong? I do. Do i think USA is using wrong methods for wrong goals? I do.
Do I want civilised conversation? I do.
This is my last post in communication with you, I'll hope you'll find someone else to call him a jerk and send him to hell. Cheers.

You gotta admit that video was genrealizing though.
The first one is oviosly the most wrong. Men, and women in that category, tend to be in denial, and have the most trouble readjusting to civilian life.
In any case, most American service men, and women dont think of themselves as heroes. You call one a hero, and they'll say,
"Nah, the real heroes are the guys who didn't make it home", or "No I'm not a heroe, but I served in a company of them."

They pretty much let us do whatever in this thread. Hell, I recently did a check and found only about 50 people are on this site regularly.
