1. And the thing with the Guantanamo prisoners is getting even better: I've just realised that the camp for refugees is in my town...Seriously, who was capable of coming up with such idea? 3 terrorists from Guantanamo, presumably Arabs, should become members of the local society. Oh come on...
  2. Love thy neighbours

  3. The thing is, we're not a multi-cultural society. Everyone here is white and there is only very few imigrants (mainly from Vietnam). Everyone immidiately notices someone different. If they had sent those people to, let's say, France, it would have been much easier for them to adapt. Besides, I don't want terrorists to live in my town.

I agree, but the fact is nobody wants those people. And bigger countries are often more successful to deny request from that country who caused all this mess

Although I am not sure if France is allowing ex-prisoners into the country.

But are they confirmed terrorists? I mean they wouldn't allow terrorists to live with other people in their neighborhood and become part of a society...

They're claimed by our government not to be (I SO believe those people), but even if they actually weren't, you wouldn't want to have people from Guantanamo nearby, would you?

So, if they aren't terrorists, why don't the US offer them a place in their country? Afterall, they were held in an American prison.

Good question. I would say if they weren't terrorists, the reason for the US would be the same reason you don't want them there. But they are the superpower, so, in order to keep their own people quiet and not have them worried, they ship their problems to other countries...classic.

I can imagine 3 Arabs fitting into American environment much better than into ours...

  9. That's not the point, as I said, it's more to keep their own people quiet. If they were going to fit them in their societies people would protest just like you are doing so now. But if americans protest it will be bad for the US government.therefore they prefer to send them out of America.

Of course, but there's a huge Arabic community in America, so they would fit in there somehow. There's literally none here and that's why this environmnent is absolutely not for them. But that's what the superpowers do and there's nothing we, worthless creatures somewhere between civilisation and Russia, can do about it.
