1. Guys, who do you think that won the debate yesterday evening?? I saw it and, even though I missed out some things (I'm not THAT proficient on spoken english) I honestly think that Obama was way m uch better. What about you?

I thought that both McCain and Obama made some valid points, but they also avoided a lot of questions. They answered a lot of questions, just not the ones being asked by the moderator (like most politicians lol)

Obama did well with domestic affairs, but got crushed when he entered the foreign affairs. Or thats what I heard...
  4. new poll:

what process do you think uses the most oil in the world?
  5. Obama got better rankings in most polls regarding the debate. In fact, in all the polls regarding the debate that I've seen or heard on television.

Considering 'Foreign Policy' is supposed to be McCain's strong-suit, that does bode well for McCain.

McSAME / FAILIN' `08 - Just say NO.

PS - now the upcoming VP debate... that should be GREAT fun.

You heard wrong. Obama did great on domestic affairs and held his own quite well on foreign affairs.

McCain is supposed to be 'so' experienced and on top of foreign policy. He should have wiped the floor with Obama... per McCain, Palin and Fixed... I mean FOX news. BUT... that just did not happen.

McCain did well with foreign affairs. But he didn't win nor bury Obama.

Funny thing... yesterday morning McCain's campaign released a "McCain wins debate" ad before he'd even said he was going to the debate. Interesting. Confidence is one thing but McCain? Ugh. Just say no.

  7. ONE LAST POINT: the biggest failure of debate # 1

The biggest failure of the debate was the moderator. He is a nice enough guy and all but he didn't control things. He should NOT have let either (McCain mostly) talk over one another. And he was not good at making them stick to the questions and be concise and direct.

exactly.....wait til Katie Couric goes in.....

she'll be told to shut it///
  10. Yeah, it was weird how they were addressing the moderator, despite the moderator's pleas to get them to start going at each other. Weird, that's for sure. They both had their ups and their downs (McCain making jokes and looking for crowd reaction and getting none, Obama stumbling through his own "I have a bracelet given to me by a soldier's mother too!" moment) during the whole thing, but I do think Obama came out on top.
  11. Uh-oh! Sounds like someone got in over her head!
