I was wondering whether we could add, in every bootleg page, a link to a new page, in which comments on the bootleg in question could be added (somehow). This would give us a better idea of the content/quality of the boots.
The 5 stars rating is very helpful, I think, but still quite coarse-grained. As many have observed in other posts, some soundboards are better than others (this sentence should sound familiar to the U2 fan...), and yet they are all rated 5 stars. This also holds for boots like e.g. 10-5-93 that are 4 stars but whose quality is compromised because, say, of the low bitrate.
Anyway, that's just a thought. This would require more work by Remi & co., so maybe this is just not feasible.
Not all soundboards are rated 5 stars, this was only the case in our old bootleg system. Though a lot of ratings are not converted yet the current rating is the rating of the sound quality, this doesn't depend on the source of the recording.
we aren't ever going to get the ratings system sorted perfectly. We can only change a rating if you yourself download a bootleg and let us know of any incorrect ratings. It's a tedious process but its all we can do for now until we come up with something a little more bulletproof so keep those incorrect ratings coming
