1. Pay as you go is the same as prepaid, isn't it? Get $30 credit and ring up to activate your service for another three or four months? Is T-Mobile locked, like you can put another SIM card for another company...say AT&T, without paying an unlock fee?

If you wait, the Google Phone is coming in a day on T-Mobile - they're making a fuss on their website about it (T-Mobile). With phones, there's always bound to be something someone likes but you absolutely despise, maybe something as simple as a Serif font as opposed to a San Serif font. Make sure if you're looking, it doesn't have a knob in the middle for navigation, but a big screen, loud ringing and not too heavy.

Something like a new-ish Nokia classic model is worth the effort. But the Google Phone is worth waiting for...
  2. going to get me an acer aspire m3641 soon.. am sick of my dying laptop

  3. I have the exact same monitor and it's damned good, and the system gets some bloody good ratings on performance. So your laptop doesn't work still?

A quick question: anyone here into Mahjong? I have a sudden fascination with it.

  4. I was addicted to that for weeks. I was playing Sudoko, earlier. That's another addictive game right there.

good to know I'll go to the shop on monday to get it.
and my laptop still is working, but there are several things that are really annoying:
when it gets too hot, it turns off.
sometimes I get a complete white screen and have to restart.
and 2 days ago I couldn't pull my power cable out, because the plastic around the outlet on my laptop melted I had to pull it out by force, so yeah.. a pc is definitely in order!

That's a pretty good sign of a bad fan or the memory is failing or has failed. The white screen can also be a sure sign of that. But the outlet plastic melting is certainly not good. I wouldn't be touching that laptop for a good while.

It looks like a nice little system.
  7. Anyone any ideas how to safely wipe a hard-drive of all personal info etc?

I'm selling my iBook G4 due to an upgrade and want to make it safe for e-bay type scenario in case I can't find a private buyer.

    Any tips gratefully received
