2.2 made a huge difference to the stabiility of the wi-fi and the browser/e-mail in general. I do both no probs and my wi-fi signal isn't that great and broadband is less than 2MBPS.
Get the 2nd Gen Ger, subtle improvements like the volume key well worth it.
i'd grab a Macbook but I need for than 2gig of RAM so I should be safe

Do you still have your receipt? They have a 3 year guarantee on them. Saying that though, I have to buy a new pair every year and the rubber buds don't fit aswell as they did when they were new (cheap to get new ones though). Love them to bits and i'll never use another type of earphone but reliability is an issue.
