1. Careful it's all you get is my advice. They are such amazing stores. I've nearly left with an iMac every time......

  2. The new ones I think are a lot better. When I got mine the 2G hadn't been released so I couldn't buy it. The 8GB was about $10 cheaper than the 16GB and the 32 was a lot, lot more, so the 16GB appealed to me. Still haven't got anywhere near filling the bloody thing up - I'm actually deleting some of my albums because they're the same songs over and over. I think I had about nine versions of Billie Jean and six versions of Streets at one stage, all studio.

The 2G is apparently meant to be cracked by mid-2009. That's just a rumour, though. Nothing concrete or solid has come from the Dev Team, so when they announce it, that's when you can believe it. Linux is also able to boot a basic version on the touch as well, which nobody thought could be done.

I'm gonna get 2.2 as soon as I can. A lot of jailbroken apps and AppStore apps are requiring 2.0.2 as dead minimum to run now, which I only updated from last night. 2.2 may already come pre-loaded on the new touches, don't quote me though.

2.2 made a huge difference to the stabiility of the wi-fi and the browser/e-mail in general. I do both no probs and my wi-fi signal isn't that great and broadband is less than 2MBPS.

Get the 2nd Gen Ger, subtle improvements like the volume key well worth it.

As long as WiFi doesn't drop out every 4.21 seconds, then it's all good. Safari was an absolute piece of shit on the earlier firmwares; looks like 2.1 and up are starting to mend things back to normal. I still love my status notifier, which in the status bar tells you that you've got emails - and on my lock screen I have the weather, unread emails and the calender.

Plus 2.0's equaliser settings sounded like crap. I'm now able to turn it off and listen - it sounds good.

i'd grab a Macbook but I need for than 2gig of RAM so I should be safe

You haven't seen the hack where you can use 6GB now and OSX recognises it? But seriously, what uses 6GB RAM? Vista, maybe and possibly Photoshop and Crysis might need it. The days of 1GB for me are becoming numbered with Vista - time for 2!

The Apple Store - I've almost taken home an AppleTV with me as well as one of the new nanos. But I had to resist....

  4. Guilty secret time - I have one of those. Got it about 2 weeks ago. Had some spare change lying around and flogged the iBook to compensate.

It is absolutely gorgeous and quicker than washing liquid and water on a plastic sheet. The graphics card is a huge step forward too. And the keyboard is lovely to type on.

I finally have a DVD burner too!!
  5. Bought lol

  6. Haha it was payday today, also friday, also found a bunch of cd's I havent listened to in a while . . . . It all came together. .

Do you still have your receipt? They have a 3 year guarantee on them. Saying that though, I have to buy a new pair every year and the rubber buds don't fit aswell as they did when they were new (cheap to get new ones though). Love them to bits and i'll never use another type of earphone but reliability is an issue.

Well, I have proof I bought them 6 months ago on Play.com, but no longer have the invoice thing or packaging. Was only about a month ago when the wires started to split at the little separator thing.

    These are the upgrade.
