  1. Yup, 64 kbps is great, you don't even need these new fangled multitab browsers, cause you can only load one page at a time, and even that takes 1 min.

    The config file is received and stored on the modem. So you would need to interfere with the firmware somehow, by either custom firmware or a hack/exploit.

    Which I honestly wouldn't have a clue of how to do anything hackable with a modem.

Some more prodding over at whirlpool, and I have found out that the method I posted above, is not how Telstra implement's their caps, apparently it's all done over at the ISP (unless they're lying to me). Which sucks because I got into my modem's service & advanced config menu hoping I could change the speed to something higher.

    Anyway...if anyone's interested to help, I'll hopefully be getting a new laptop next week...any suggestions on any specific issues?
    I was interested in getting a mac, but most of my uni software will probably not work with it...there aren't many different brands here, there is dell, toshiba, acer, asus and A LOT of Sony Vaio...and I'm probably going with the Vaio...but still, any suggestion as to which series to choose, what specifications...etc?

    Why not the Mac?

    You can run Windows on it if you'll absolutely have to. Pre-installed with Boot Camp or you can get hold of Parallels to avoid re-booting each time. It will even partition hard-drive for you.

    1. http://biologyinmotion.com/thyroid/index.html , how can I download the flash object? I seem unable to find the .swf file's correct url. Is there a way?

    2. IF I manage to download it and have the swf file, is there a way for me to use it in a powerpoint presentation? So the question is, is there a way of putting a flash object in a slideshow in powerpoint?

    I think you can add it in PowerPoint. But Im not sure. If its possible you need to have Flash player installed on your pc. AND the pc you will present on :)
