    This is what i bought:
Asrock A780GXH/128M motherboard (includes Ati Hd3200 + HDMI port, and 7.1 audio etc)
    AMD Phenom 2 940 AM2+ 3000 Quadcore processor
    4GB Ram
    Corsair CMPSU-400CX 400W (power supply)
    Hitachi 1 TB SAT2 HDT721010 (harddrive)
Samsung 22x DL SATA SH-S223B BlB (DVD burner)

Although there are newer quadcores that maybe a better choice quality wise. There a lot of brands and a lot of options that may save you a few bucks.

Some places are selling the 2TB Samsung and Western Digital drives for a few dollars / pounds / euros more. Even with 1TB you'll take a good while to fill it up.

you guys need to get a Sansa Clip for your music. Sounds insanely good and plays lossless. A beauty

I know the touch has pretty crap audio - the Sansa would be better with 192Kbps MP3 even?

Double is the price here of 2TB in comparison with 1TB. Anyway its just one brand, depends on retailer which one is cheaper.

    Still 1TB is pretty big.
  4. Hurrayy!! my

works again. Thought he was dead! two years ago it felt on the ground while I was cycling.

  5. How come? Did you do anything to it to get it to work again?

  6. Didnt use it for 2 years. Just plugged it into my laptop and as it appears, it works again. Body is damaged due to the crash but I'm still happy with it. Beautiful device.

  7. A miracle! It has come back from the dead! lol. I wonder how long will my iPod last.
  8. my old 1st gen U2 iPod still works grand. Probably because it was never used

  9. haha. Mine is in a safe with all my U2mp3's on it

  10. would like to have the 1st gen U2 iPod... love the video one with the black back though. I wasnt never gonna throw it away anyway but I can use it again Prefer the looks over my Touch.

Gonna use my U2 iPod as a harddisk

  11. Mine died and the USB insert part corroded and bent out of shape, plus the screen warped and the hard drive connector snapped. Apart from that it works great!

Got a classic 80GB but good luck finding it.
  12. Well here I am again... I'm really close to buying a new surround set. My current speakers are not really good, especially the sub is very bad. It can go very loud, but only hard 'boom' sounds, very ugly. Because I only want to replace it with something a lot better I am looking at the Logitech Z-5500.

It has pretty good reviews etc, but I hope someone here on U2Start can help me decide. I know its better to start with a decent amplifier/receiver and some highend speakers. But that will cost at least double.

Is it easy to screw the speakers to the ceiling? My current set is all over the place and my rear speakers are more my side speakers. I would like to screw them to the ceiling/wall because i probably cant use the speakerstands i have now. And buying a new pair is just too much to ask of my wallet

I can get the set for 250 euro's here in holland. That is around 370 USD.
