I don't But when you connect it using digital SPDIF interface (optical or coax) it doesnt care how good your soundcard is. It can send lossless LPCM stereo to the speakers and AC3/DTS surround as well. With a good soundcard you are more flexible but its not necessary at all for good quality.

And imgburn is very good indeed Dont know about splitting though. Forum at Doom9.org is your best option

I see I see. I'll just have the PS3 connecting directly to the pod via optical. Should get nearly the very best audio possible and surround sound. Might have to upgrade to a receiver though when I move because i'll need another optical connection for sky HD. These speakers have just the onne optical input

  3. that could do the trick indeed. Optical from each source into that. Not sure if my ears could hear the difference between Dolby Digital and DTS through optical and TrueHD via HDMI through a receiver. Though HDMI can do audio and vdeio through the one cable (but then you need another HDMI from amp to TV. Pros and cons. I'm sure i'll be happy with these.

Yeah, the only disadvantage is that the logitech doesnt support the latest HD Audio stuff. I dont think i can hear the difference, but i dont have very good ears.
  5. just as I praise imgburn the fails start

  6. getting the same error message midway through burns on certain VIDEO_TS folders. I'll try and grab a screenshot next time. Some red X with a try again, resume or cancel option with a load of numbers. DVD drive firmware up to date and used multiple branded discs
  7. attempting a screenshot. imageshack wont upload it. . .

    ''I/O ERROR''
  8. Never seen that myself Dont know what to do with that error

  9. try a different program. . . . Burnt 2 Discs fine then 3 straight fails

  10. Strange error though, hopefully you will find a program that works good with your system There is a program thats called InfraRecorder or something like that. Also freeware if i remember correctly. Also Nero has a freeware version.
