1. Those things also do realtime conversion, not faster. Only advantage is more control of compression and the ability to edit the stuff on your pc.

    Basic chaptering is all that would be required. I'll take a punt on it for a tenner.

    Just joking. I'm a fan of mp3DirectCut for splitting and/or quick fadings, and for major edits I use Nero WaveEditor.


    Anyway, that problem sounds like a codecs issue, Wayne. Look on the help pages, it might help too.


  6. Audacity has problems with certain MP3-encoded files. Were they with iTunes or from here?
