    Markets itself as the iPhone-killer.

  2. Oooh, I like that. But isn't there an iPhone killer every day now?

    The thing that shits me off about the iPhone is that Apple, while everyone else is out there innovating, all they're doing is adding features that were standard ten years ago and it's seen as amazing. You know, companies like Google and Motorola and Nokia are actually doing interesting things. You can't tell me the iPad is actually going to be a revolution.

    What was the last big thing Apple added? Oh yeah. Bluetooth functionality to use with a fucking headset, search and copy-paste. Woop-dee-doo Apple.

    Do you have the Droid in Australia yet? It came out...a couple of months ago here, and seems to be getting good reviews. I'm debating on staying with my current carrier (Verizon, which has excellent coverage but no iPhone) or switching to AT&T (terrible coverage, but the exclusive carriers over here of the iPhone)

    Oh, iPhones added a video camera. Woo hooo.

    I don't think we've got it yet. I would like to get one though - iPod is starting to suck.

    And you're forgetting the iPhone just got voice recording and MMS!!!


  5. It is a good phone, but I would go with an HTC Android phone. I got the hero finally, and it's fantastic. There are new Android phones from HTC coming out next month, and of course there is the Nexus One. None of these have hardware keyboard tho, if that is an issue for you, but other than that, they're great.
  6. Nexus One is supposed to come to my service provider by the end of the month....will definitely check it out too.

    I'm gonna get a Nexus One or Hero or the Icon. So many nice ones out.


  8. Avoid the samsung. Crippled with next to no internal memory and seemingly rejected by their firmware team.


  9. Ah right, thanks for the tip. I was ready to get it tomorrow - plus I think it runs Symbian, I don't like that. Too old and past its time.

    Sounds like the Nokia 6121 where it had one firmware update and 20MB of memory.

    Think 13mb of internal memory on a device with the spec of the Samsung

My LG Renoir has a 3 inch touch screen which looked massive when I first had it (70% of that wa sprobably down to the excitement of having such a nice phone).     Had it about a week now and I am impressed to say the least. The 1Ghz processor really does make it lightening fast. The touch screen is very responsive. Internet browsiing is pretty damn fast either on the Wi-fi or through the HSDPA (which is accessible a lot of the time). Camera is pretty sweet, certainly lives up to the 'HD' in the name. Video likewise.

    Only downside is that Windows Marketplace is shit. Other than that it's a superb piece of kit.
