But if Adobe says they are making a flash player for windows 7, supporting the HD2, they are not lying.

I think it is just a question of time before HTC announces it. They will continue with WP7 for sure, Android might be growing but Windows Mobile is far from dead.

The HD2 has the grunt to run 7 (hence the rumors), but apparently it doesnt have the correct hardware buttons on it.

  2. Yeah, i know. That is why statements are so confusing. MS says the buttons are requires, Adobe mentions HD2 in their Flash Player for WP7 plans. Confusing, well for my N900 its the same. Unsure if the OS will be updated to Meego. Luckily Meego apps will be compatible with Maemo but it would be nice if the whole OS gets upgraded.

    Anyway, apps enough for me

On another note: I have switched back to Opera as internet browser. I miss a few addons, but the browser itself is among the best. Definitely faster than Firefox and since 10.5 it nears Chrome in performance.
  3. NICE, N900 will get the Meego upgrade. Dev snapshots will be even released. I love this phone

Back on firefox, seems RSS and downloading multiple links in Opera are a lot harder than i dared to think. A pitty.

great news. I might pick one up eventually
  5. selling the Hero. More than happy with the 5800 and I may aswell cash in on selling the Hero before the legend and desire come out. I'll no doubt make a return to android in the future. Maybe something with a keyboard

Good moment to cash in. Hero has been a carrying its market for a while now. Still good selling and I think you can get a good price for it

With all new phones announced and to be announced Future is good

no desire to get the Legend. Just too much empty space between the bottom of the screen and the buttons. Looking at a Motorola Dext.
  8. Motorola is completely back since the Droid, although i must say i dont like the Dext if i look at the renders and photo's. Each to their own

better keyboard than the Droid at a third of the price. Not many (if any) other keyboarded Android devices out there
  10. You are probably right. Not that into Android. I dont like the oversized rounded corners. But I havent bought the prettiest phone myself

Things I dont like about Android: they began with an open system and artificially added layers to make it more 'close' . Also not to keen on the Google thing. Cant say I ever caught them doing something illegal, but they are getting way big and have the A LOT sensitive info an all of us. I use google daily, but try to give them as little as possible in return

Also I really dont understand why Android is based on a JAVA. I know its not a virtual machine like on the PC, but I just dont understand why to force Java as a language. But I heard it is possible to write apps in other languages now as well.

But I guess that Android is the best system on the market, its more open than iPhone OS, more intuitive than Symbian and Windows Mobile and has bigger support than Palm WebOS, Maemo / MeeGo and other OS's.
  11. Symbian with a great UI will rule all. I enjoyed my time with Android but it was the little things that annoyed me. I don't like that the hardware manufacturers are wacking their own front ends on it. That massively delays the updates (Hero case in point).

The hardware seems to also be poor. Poor reception, poor speaker quality, poor call quality. And thats across the range. Its still a maturing platform and will grow like hell over the next 2 years. Where from there though is anybodies guess. I'll hold on to symbian for it's every day just get down and do it attitude
  12. Hardware issues are beyond Android responsibilities. HTC had its share with reception issues though. But everyone has issues. N900 had the mic-bug and spontaneous reboots. My N95 had the date bug, under a certain circumstances the date and time would go in the future or back in the past. This bug is only fixed a month or two ago! My SE before that shutdown when it wanted too, etc.

Its a shame that these issues are not fixed before launch, but it seems everyone fucks up once in a while
