I've had my 300s for...about 3 years now? I have a backup pair still in the box, but the originals are still working. The soft plastic/rubber earbuds just started to tear today. Not bad.
  2. So has the Nexus One been released anywhere? I guess it's not out here in he US yet.

  3. Really? You can buy it direct from google. Dont think any carriers have subsidized it yet though.

  4. I suppose that's what I meant. I don't know much about the cellphone game, but its not released/available to my provider yet. Rumor says it's coming out on March 23rd though. It's available there in Northern Ireland?

Not via a carrier. Only direct from google. I like the idea of getting ghe phonesim free then taking on a rolling one month contract. Expensive paying for the phone up front though
  6. Ger, do you use the Maps on your 5800? I'm having a bugger of a time getting the actual maps on board since the update. Program itself seems grand though. I still keep discovering things for the phone every day. What Apps do you have on it?

Yep i'm using ovi maps 3.03 (the version available in the ovi store) and it works beautifully. What problems are you having with it?

In apps terms i'm using the Opera mobile beta 5, iplayer, sports tracker (you will like this one. It tracks your hikes or cycling on a map or graph displaying stuff like distance and altitude etc). What else. ...... Dabr for twitter and ramblow to keep the phone running lean.

    You prefer Dabr above Gravity?
  9. The maps application has loaded perfectly on the phone, but the actual map has disappeared, so unless I use Internet access (which is only wifi as I have no data package) the sat nav doesn't work. I've downloaded the map thing on my MacBook but when I tried to sync them the other night it was taking forever then I had to go to bed!
So still no sat nav. Shame, because I was loving the previous version and that was working fine.

I was able to load the maps for the whole of the uk and Ireland in 5 minutes. I used Ovi suite. Was a breeze

Yea Casper im prefering dabr. Gravity is just a big ram hog and trying to rung it along with opera starts shuting other programs. Dabr is perfect for the casual twitter user.
  11. Ok, so I now have the map on my phone. It will find places no problem, but doesn't seem able to calculate the route unless online. Is that right? Seems a bit naff if it is...

    Settings-internet-offline.

Lets me search and calculate route no problem. Offline navigation is one of ovi maps main selling points.
