Yep i'm using ovi maps 3.03 (the version available in the ovi store) and it works beautifully. What problems are you having with it?
In apps terms i'm using the Opera mobile beta 5, iplayer, sports tracker (you will like this one. It tracks your hikes or cycling on a map or graph displaying stuff like distance and altitude etc). What else. ...... Dabr for twitter and ramblow to keep the phone running lean.

I've downloaded the map thing on my MacBook but when I tried to sync them the other night it was taking forever then I had to go to bed!
So still no sat nav. Shame, because I was loving the previous version and that was working fine.

Settings-internet-offline.
Lets me search and calculate route no problem. Offline navigation is one of ovi maps main selling points.

Yeah, I've turned it off on the phone. Bizarrely on the journey to work it let me work out any manner of journey to wherever I wanted. Maybe the GPS signal is just crap in my house.
I'll keep playing with it. I really want to use it when I go to France in the summer...
