1. Aye, cheers. Browsed some fora here and there, seems to be some work. Might keep it original then. V50 has some flaws though.

  2. Going to be a pretty decent piece of kit then. Obviously can't give any real recommendations because I have no idea what you want to run through it. Quite a difference in price once you move from the TX-SR3/SR5 to the SR8 models though. Quick canvas and the SR3 to SR6 models range between £200 and £300, then the SR8 models start from around £450.

Yamaha are supposed to produce good recievers too so might be worth checking them out.

Been looking at some home cinema equipment myself over the past few months but I'm yet to make any decisions for several reasons, the main reason being the cost.

My speaker choice will determine the receiver. I'm not at all keen on have a 7.1 system so that will same me on the receiver. Something that has a few HDMI inputs that can decode most of the lossless audio formats would suffice. I will be looking at Yamaha too. Fairly prices
  4. off to buy a new phone. The 5800 just bricked beyond reasonable repair. Mid way through installing new firmware and Ovi Suite 'stopped working' leaving my phone without the correct software to function. Cheers Ovi
  5. Sure you cant unbrick it?

Bricked my Nokia a few times, pressing 'u' before connecting USB cable pushes the phone into flash mode. Then it was very easy to flash.

Not sure if the 5800 has a trick like that.

Normally I could flash it using a jaf emulator or similar but it is completely lifeless. PC will not pick it up and the thing won't even charge.

    Back to android :

  7. Nokia probably has several service centres where they can flash it for you. Hear some good stories of the centres here in Holland.

One in Belfast and I couldn't make it in until next week. I could probably get it flashed for good and cheap but its the sheer annoyance of it that makes me want to throw it away or sell as faulty on ebay. Only reason I reset and reinstalled the firmware was to clear a whole load of bugs and then bang. Urgh

Another hard reset won't work I assume?
V50 is nice but still has some bugs too. Android is simply the best (no pun intended) these days. Looked at the HTC Desire a friend of mine has. Just lovely. Will go for Android next year unless Symbian 3 surprises me.

It's lifeless. I'll pay a few quid to get it fixed or just sell as faulty.

Gonna buy the Dext pictured above and run it for a while then pick up a HTC Legend
  11. Bought another harddisk, you never have enough multicams....

Good choice I think. Just read Symbian 3 is delayed until the 3th quarter this year. Nokia is fading away..hope they make the jump to Android soon.
