    Not sure if I do understand you right. I've listened to a few AKG headphones and I did love 'em for their honest sound - you'll mostly hear what there is to hear and not what the manufacturer thinks you might want to hear. So no added bass, just a flat response of the music. If your "acknowledge that bass isn't everything" means you're surprised by hearing so much of it when wearing honest headphones instead of crappy in-ear thingies, you'll might inderstand why I've always complained about the current ipod-ready disastrous bass-heavy mixing fashion, and why I am conservative in that department when remastering a show. Anyway congratulations on the headphones, I haven't heard this particular model but as said, as a brand any AKG's are pretty trustworthy to me.

Once I adjusted though and got used to them they really are brilliant. Especially for Zooropa and Pop.

  4. I just re-read my original post and it could have been interpreted either way. They still haven't been fully run in yet. Still a bit harsh and piercing on some occasions (mainly cymbals).

    Are they comfy?

    I'm looking for some headphones for use with the TV and stuff. Wanting some that are nice and cushiony on the ears so I can wear them for hours.

    Though ideally I want wireless to avoid any unecessary cables across the room.

    Still happy with my Sennheiser CX300II for general usage but with the wire being short and them probably being rather uncomfy after a few hours use they aren't a feasible solution.

    Nice Digital Sound Processor plugin that makes lots of bootlegs sound less muddy and muffled. It does something with the high frequencies. Works great on stadium gigs, not so much on studio records.

    I'd definitely suggest a wireless unit for your suggested usage. These AKG's aren't fantastic outdoors due to their fairly poor sound isolation (mostly down to the fact that I can't get a tight fit). Great indoors though.
  8. Wireless is nice, but make sure you buy a lightweight one. We have one at home that is a bit to heavy for heavy listening.
  9. I just went out and bought myself a 1TB hard drive, made by Western Digital. Kind of needed it as I only had 2.88GB left It was only £60 which is a bargain.



    Now I can download as much as I want without worrying that I only have little space left!
