    Harddisk companies use SI units. But most computer software use the other standard. Thats why there is a mismatch between what you see and what you buy.

  6. I knew about the exponents but...... being picky, you write it wrong. It's more like 10^6, the "e" is not entirely right. More convenient, but not right
