    I downloaded a torrent of Muse's Glastorbury show to put on my ipod. Unfortunately, the file was an .avi file and it had no audio when I played it on my Mac. So, I transfered it over to my Windows XP laptop and put it through a program called Any Video Converter and it spit out a .mp4 file with the audio. However, the audio is a bit muffled and distorted when I watch it on my Mac, and it gets progressively more and more out of sync as the show goes on. Uprising is near perfect, but by Knights of Cydonia, the visuals are well behind the audio. The weird thing is, when I watch it on my PC, it's great audio quality and no sync issues at all.

    Any ideas on how to make this work?

    EDIT: I checked a Coldplay show I ran through the same program (Any Video Converter) and it seems to have the same problem. Spotty audio and out of sync. LAME.

    2nd EDIT: Alright, tried it with iSquint, and it worked perfectly.

    Maybe AVC doesn't like the file for some reason it would appear, especially after two of the same result. From the same site? I'd suggest Handbrake in the future or at least iSquint (not heard of it before) to get better results first time.

    You didn't have to restore the iPod...I just did so I could go a fresh install and have a clean jailbreak. Don't install WinterBoard if you can help it. Restore wipes it clean but best to if you can as well not restore from a backup when it asks you, otherwise you defeat the purpose of a clean system. 4.0 seems to work better that way.

  4. I thought you had already. Yeah you can JB it how it is, but a restore is much better for a clean result.

    EDIT: Don't blame me if it goes arse up tit.


    Just curious but what do people here use to convert music DVDs to mp3?

    DVD Decrypter and Foobar2000 with the LAME encoder.


  7. No kidding, imagine The Claw in full 1080i and 3-D? Obviously, you'll need a 3-D television set, but still, the future has to start sometime. Our time is now.

    Nah, I was being serious too. Awesome experience it must be. I wouldn't like a single static camera, though. 3 or more cam mix is the way to go

    Yeah, opening night is going to be tough for Bono. Damn, I told he's smoking in the bathroom again!

    Imagine the projects that can be put together with HD 3D cameras set up all over the stadium, mixed with a 5 star audience / 5 star SBD matrix sound recording? But, the world can only be so perfect.
  10. Gerard, you once bought the Sennheiser CX400 II? My CX300 are broke, almost dead left channel after two years. Looked for a new brand (Etymotic, Denon etc.) but I end up with Sennheiser again.

    Couldn't recommend the C400's or the CX300-ll.

    Stick with another pair of 300's. If you can get 2 years out of them for that price then go for it.

    And why not the CX400 II/CX300 II? Read some reviews saying the sound is better. Also bass-driven though. A shame I can't find the Denon AH-C700 anywhere.
