  1. I would have guessed but surely what use would the system builder have for 3 I'm not sure. W7 only takes up around 8GB, at least on this laptop - although I did install it myself and took Vista off - and I'm sure W7 can read a single 2TB partition.

    Got the earphones this morning. Played U2, Snow Patrol some dancy stuff and now Coldplay with them and they're just great. Compared with the Sennheiser CX300 it offers much better handling of bass and treble with crystal clear acoustics.

    Worth my money, hope they last longer than Sennheisers 2.5 year.

    So those are good for mid-range dance music and heavy metal and older rock? Do they clip or distort at high levels with poorer encoding on files e.g. 192Kbps ripped from an old 1990 remaster - and how well can you hear them in a busy environment e.g. bus or train etc?

    Also, do they hold in well, like not moving around?

    They don't clip as far as I know. I haven't listened to such ancient recordings yet lol. Will do soon. I'm sure you can hear a bad master though like RHCP's Californication. The sound isolation is very good, somewhat better than the Sennheisers. But it depends what your earcanal size is.

    They hold in well too although they're a bit larger than other in-ears on the market. But they won't drop while sprinting although I haven't tested that yet.

    The last time I tried the in-ears they just didn't work for me - they kept falling out. But these, I think might work a lot better.

    Real in-ears like Eytemotic's models are superb, but they cost a lot. Denon's in-ears are like the Sennheiser. They go into the ear canal. Eytemotic's one go deeper for even more isolation. You could try these but the sound is more or less the same.

    Now I'm perfectly happy with them but I've also come across a pair of Ultimate Ears 700 going for only $120 so I'm wondering whether to get them as they have got a lot of great reviews.

    But will they sound better than my headphones? I've always assumed that headphones sound better than in ear phones, but is that necessarily true?

    It is, only modded the space between the top and the tab bar.

    * Downthemall works (known issues though)

    * AddBlock works
    * Ghostery works
    * NoScript works
    * Downbar works

  12. Problem with girlfriends laptop. Just booted it up this morning and straight away it loaded everything on 4 identical tiles, one in each corner. It does this straight from the boot menu. All the graphic properties look good and the computer itself is 100% functional. System restore made no difference. Looks like hardware. Any opinions?
