  5. I'll try all those. Some games I liked too that I think were all free when I got them:

    - Stone Wheel
    - CannonGame
    - Cat Physics
    - I Love Traffic
    - Warships 1
    - BubbleXplode

I'll have to get an iTunes card someday to get the paid games. After a month or two I think it is with my new iPod, quick likes and dislikes.

Like: the 'backgrounding' function and multibar, the speaker, the voice recording, push, option for mono audio, portrait orientation.

Hate: locked-down Bluetooth, Safari still goes tits up, WiFi constantly searching for a network when you switch it off even, the 'proper' volume buttons, poorish battery life, popup alerts are rubbish - apart from that 4.0 and the touch are pretty cool. Then again, half of that and even some of none of that were on my one before, so that's a bonus right there!

Gerard, how you liking yours so far?
  6. Loving the bastard. It's too slim though.Volume buttons are impossible to use without dropping the whole thing. The screen is truly amazing. The icons look almost 3D.

Is it possible to love an iPod touch but hate iPhones with a passion?

Haha, was having this little debate with myself yesterday as to why you'd gone for the Touch and not an iPhone 4....

    Those nano's look odd...

  8. Sigh, why is it that everyone wants to argue with every bloody thing without doing any research themselves and just opposing anything that goes against their existing views (and not providing reasons for doing so either)

See, you all fail to realise that I also seriously considered ripping all my CDs to lossless for my iPhone, but instead of simply assuming that it would be better, I actually did my research and saw that it was overkill.

If the acknowledged experts say putting lossless music on your iPod is a big waste of space, then please argue with them instead of me.

I was merely presenting an expert opinion, not just some whim of mine because I have nothing better to do with my time.

So you seriously considered ripping your cds to lossless but stopped because some random 'expert' said it was a waste of space? Fuck off. I can hear the difference and my player has sufficent space.

Who were these 'experts'? Be your own expert for once. Rip your own music and see what you think. If you hear no difference that's not to say that the difference doesn't exist, it just means YOU can't hear it. Jeese.

You can hate iPhones 'cos of the mandatory contracts you gotta go with. That's why I went a touch - games, music and without more costs per month.
I hate the buttons on the side. I mean they're great convenience for that if you're coming from an older touch but hardware buttons suck - why not touch-sensitive ones? I love the fact though the calculator icon is 3D-looking on a normal screen but the other icons look almost 1D. Too funny.

It depends on what you can hear. If you have loads of CDs then a mix of lossless-lossy is alright - specially if you got like 200 you just wanna shove the whole lot on there. For maybe 20 albums I'd go lossless considering when I rip an album it goes from WAV to MP3 anyway - so save the hassle of that.

I went lossy because I had a minimum of space before and no laptop to store them on. Now I have 32GB and 1TB of space, it doesn't worry me so much. For my remixes and demos I'll do lossless always but for normal stuff it doesn't warrant the lossless route. That said, I can hear the difference and maybe one day I'll get round to doing proper lossless rips.

You do what's best for you. Not what someone else wants you to do. Trying to get away from calculated opinions I have for a while now and random experts only shit me off.
